How to have a kick-a$$ Valentines day when you're Single

     Whether you celebrate it or not Valentines day is a week from today. If you're like me, your getting a tad bit jealous of elementary school kids and couples for all the fun they're are about to have. I've stopped counting, but this will be yet another V-Day spent with my pup. Not that I'm complaining. He's a sweetie. He even tries to talk to me sometimes. However, other than eating and napping, we don't share too many other interest.  If you too, find yourself with nothing to do this 'Love Day' try one of these 5 things below.


1)Hit the bars/comedy shows & anywhere else other singles are. Might as well mingle. You never know who you'll meet. ;)


2)Have a singles party! If a party isn't your style, have a 'Secret admirer' exchange with your close single friends. Just follow the same rules as a secret Santa!


3)Treat yo self! Go shopping. Buy yourself your favorite food. Watch all your favorite movies and shows. Do whatever makes you happy. Get some quality 'ME' time. Ill be treating my self Feb 15 with some 50% off candy!


4)Spread some love! There is always someone out there that could use some good fortune. Volunteer. Donate food and old clothes. Offer to babysit for a parent or couple that could use a day or night off. Spoil some one else. Call your mom or grandparents and take them out to dinner. Its not like the world couldn't use more love and kindness out there!


5)Anti-valentines day:
   For those of you that absolutely detest v-day and its commercialism this is for you. (I feel like this some years too). Throw an anti-love bash: exchange gag gifts & black roses. Get the mushiest pinata you can find and take turns wailing on it. Playing drinking game that the first one to say : love, heart, cupid, or valentines has to take shots. Make a Taylor Swift inspired singles playlist 😜.  Throw on a few not-so-romance friendly movies(Ex. 500 days of Summer, Kill Bill, American beauty, Fatal Attraction, Middle of Nowhere, ...) If that's not your style refer to #3 & TREAT YO SELF and avoid all lovey, sappy, pink, red, and heart things out there.
